Oak
Alley was built in 1837-39 by Jacques T. Roman, Architect.
It is famous for its alley of 28 evenly spaced live oak trees
believed to be at least 100 years older the the big house.
Laura
Plantation was primarely run by four women for nearly
a century. The tour focuses on Plantation life, slavery, river
road history, and the American fable Brier Rabbit, which was first
recorded at Laura Plantation.
